About the event

Create Impact™ and Be Great! Show are teaming up to launch the Use Your Bottle, Change Our World social impact campaign at the 2nd Annual Be Great! Humanitarian Awards, following the opening day of D23 Fan Expo. In celebration of Disney100 - the 100th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Corporation - special guests include a reunited cast of The ‘All New’ Mickey Mouse Club who will be featured at D23 Expo earlier in the day.

Using the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (Global Goals) as a framework, the Use Your Bottle, Change Our World campaign seeks to activate the public in a fun and uniquely empowering way with a solution-based approach to reducing individual plastic use. As part of the campaign, Create Impactâ„¢ will give away free water bottles at community-level events around the country, promoting the hashtags #ReducePlasticUse, #DontChooseExtinction, and #BYOB.

Hosted by Dr. Greg S. Reid (Author, Speaker & Founder of Secret Knock), the 2nd Annual Be Great! Humanitarian Awards will honor and celebrate outstanding individuals and organizations creating a positive impact on society, and who encourage all of us to Be Great! Co-produced by social impact-based production company Be Great!, the not-for-profit event will creatively mix a magical, experiential, and immersive celebration of humanity featuring a VIP Champagne Reception, Food & Drinks, Red Carpet Photo Ops and Interviews, Live Music, presentations, the Humanitarian Awards Ceremony, and an After-party. Reunion Mouseketeers will provide some of the evening’s entertainment, including Tony Lucca (NBC’s The Voice) and Lindsey Alley’s hilarious (and irreverent) multi-media one-woman show, "Blood, Sweat, and Mouseketears."

2021’s Inaugural Be Great! Awards event was held at Walt Disney World Resort and honored Jeff Hoffman (Founder of Priceline.com, Ubid.com), Pamela Landwirth (CEO, Give Kids The World Village), and Kellen Jackley (Child Ambassador, GKTW), among others. 2022’s honorees will include Emily Lartigue, a former Disney employee who founded Cast Member Pantry at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic to support more than 10,000 Disney Cast Members facing hardships throughout Southern California and Florida.

Chosen from over 100 nominations, Be Great! selectively honors approximately 20 Humanitarians each year. Additional honorees include Larry Namer (Co-Founder of E! Entertainment), Khalilah Ali (Humanitarian/Author), Leigh Steinberg (Founder of Steinberg Sports & Entertainment), Emily Lartigue (Founder of Cast Member Pantry), Alec Stern (America’s Start-up & Non-profit Expert), Eric Power (Founder/CEO of Veteran’s Disability Help), Dame Dr. Munni Irone (Founder of Art 4 Peace), and Rachel Carlsen (Founder of Carlsen Partners). More 2022 recipients will be announced in coming weeks.

There are multiple types of tickets available (General Admission, VIP Admission, and After-Party only), in addition to three amazing VIP Concierge Experience packages.
